Nasim Rana Masud, an alumnus of the Department of Psychology at Rajshahi University and the current CEO of the IT firm Techflix, has been honored with the Nepal International Excellence Award-2025 for his significant contribution to Bangladesh’s Information Technology (IT) sector.
The prestigious award ceremony took place on Saturday, November 22, in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. It was a joint initiative by the South Asian Social Cultural Forum and the Nepal-Bangladesh Friendship Council.
Honored at International Conference: Mr. Masud received the accolade during an international conference titled, ‘Our Role in the Development of Asia’s Trade and Tourism Industry.’ The conference acknowledged distinguished personalities from Nepal, Bangladesh, and other South Asian nations for their exceptional professional excellence and socio-economic contributions to the region.
Key discussion points at the event focused on strengthening regional cooperation, formulating effective development strategies, and planning future initiatives to further enrich Asia’s trade and tourism industries. The conference saw participation from various policymakers, researchers, business leaders, media representatives, cultural figures, and relevant experts from across South Asia.
CEO Nasim Rana’s Statement
Upon receiving the award, Nasim Rana expressed his delight and deep gratitude:
“I am profoundly pleased and sincerely thankful for this award. Receiving this recognition for my work on an international stage is undoubtedly a monumental achievement. However, I choose to view this not just as an international honor, but as a symbol of my increased sense of responsibility towards my work and my country. He further added, “This honor is not my achievement alone. I humbly dedicate this award to my family, the officers and employees of my organization, and my well-wishers who have continuously provided me with unwavering inspiration.”

The ceremony was chaired by M H Arman Chowdhury, Executive Director of the South Asian Social Cultural Forum.
