Allegedly the Pabna Edward College taking additional fees from the students for honors 2nd year exam form fill up. The college authorities taking additional fees by showing various sectors including development fee, test fee, oral test fee. Students complained, 3 to 4 thousand taka is being taken at the other colleges of the country for honors 2nd year form fill up. But Edward’s College is taking around 6 to 7 thousand taka from each of the 17 departments. Tk. 2,300/- is taken as the college fee and session fee without the National University fee, Tk. 350/- as center fee, management fee 100/-, seminar fee 100/-, test examination fee 400/-, in-course exam fee 400/-, oral exam fee 200/-, term paper fee 200/-, online and management fee 100/-, fresher reception fee 50/-. Students also complained, for a long time, the college principal is backed by a syndicate of teachers are working as they wish. They are taking extra money from the students by showing many excuses. Every year, the money taken from the student on the name of development, but there is no development work. The teachers’ syndicate divides the money among them. The students are in helpless condition. Professor of the College Dr. Naid Md. Shamsul Huda said, the other colleges taking the money in two terms, but we are taking that all at once. Therefore it seems that we are taking extra fees. We are taking the national university decided fees and college fees. The complain of additional fee taking is completely wrong.
